By participating in the Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation’s Matching Grant Program, Michigan Masonic lodges can apply for and receive up to $1,500 a year to boost their local scholarship programs. Lodges may select several students to receive smaller scholarships, or they may opt to select one or two students to receive larger scholarships. The choice is theirs.
Masonic scholarships were created to support high school and undergraduate students with plans to attend an accredited college, university, trade, or vocational school. The scholarships are based on rewarding those with solid academic records and strong leadership skills. Students interested in applying for a scholarship are encouraged to contact a Michigan Masonic lodge in their area. Click here to locate a nearby lodge. The lodge application is available to lodge secretaries in the members section of the Grand Lodge web site.
The Grand Lodge Educational Assistance Program seeks to provide financial assistance to Michigan Masons who have demonstrated financial need to assist them in the completion of their educational pursuits. Applicants must be Master Masons in good standing. Selection will be based on financial need, academic standing, extracurricular activities, and involvement in the Masonic community.
